The City’s Economic Development Office works with its partners and key business organizations to deliver services to the business community and carry out its mandate. The results have produced an unparalleled business environment that is studied and replicated by other cities and business centres around the world. These include groups such as:

Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation

The Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation (OCRI) is the rallying point for business, education and government to advance Ottawa's globally competitive knowledge-based economy. OCRI plays a key role in supporting Ottawa’s priorities in education, research and economic development through initiatives such as Ottawa Global Marketing, SmartCapital, the Entrepreneurship Centre and the Ottawa Capital Network. As well, OCRI raises the profile and stimulates the growth of the local life sciences sector both nationally and internationally.

Ottawa Tourism

Ottawa Tourism provides industry leadership, strategic direction and destination marketing of Ottawa and Canada's Capital Region in co-operation with its members and partners. Ottawa Tourism’s team of experts work to build recognition of Ottawa as a world-class destination. Departments include marketing, convention sales, travel trade, industry development, communications, research, membership, and finance and administration.

Greater Ottawa Chamber of Commerce

The Greater Ottawa Chamber of Commerce supports the economic strength of the Ottawa region by bringing together businesses from a wide variety of industries for networking opportunities. The Chamber acts in an advocacy role as the "voice of business" for the business community.

Regroupement des gens d’affaires

The Regroupement des gens d’affaires (RGA) supports and mobilises all economic partners from both sides of the Ottawa River to ensure economic prosperity, unparalleled quality of life and bilingual services in the National Capital Region. The RGA is dedicated to creating a favourable climate for the prosperity of its members and the economic development of the region.

National Capital Business Alliance

The National Capital Business Alliance (NCBA) represents the suburban and rural chambers of commerce and business alliances within the city of Ottawa. Directors of the NCBA are responsible for communicating to their respective chambers, boards and memberships regarding ongoing communications with the City of Ottawa and on broader issues affecting the community.
