Business Advisory CommitteeThe City of Ottawa’s Business Advisory Committee is a 14-member volunteer committee, established in early 2005 according to Terms of Reference approved by City Council. The Committee provides input and advice from a business perspective on City policy, service and communication issues that are of particular concern to small and medium-sized businesses. Input is directed to the Corporate Services and Economic Development Committee and City Council to assist the City in its decision-making process. The Committee includes representation from the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce, the National Capital Business Alliance, Canadian Federation of Independent Business, the Ontario Federation of Agriculture, Regroupement des gens d'affaires, the city's Business Improvement Areas, and seven business people-at-large. In addition to maintaining regular contact with policy makers, the Business Advisory Committee keeps businesses informed of developments at city hall and of opportunities for input on matters of interest to the business community. Members of the business community are welcome to attend Committee meetings for information or to provide input. Business Advisory Committee Key Focus Areas
