Notice of Completion

The City of Ottawa has completed the Environmental Study Report (ESR) for the Bank Street Functional and Preliminary Design. The ESR describes the design considerations, evaluation of alternatives and technically preferred alternative for this Environmental Assessment (EA).

The Bank Street EA was undertaken as a Schedule “C” project in accordance with the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Municipal Engineers Association 2000). Consultation in the form of Technical and Public Advisory Committee Meetings, Public Open Houses, Public Meetings and Stakeholder Group discussions, formed an integral part of the assessment process.

The 30-day public review for this project begins on March 24, 2006.  Written concerns or comments may be submitted within 30 Calendar days from the date of this notice to:

If concerns regarding this project cannot be resolved in discussion with the City of Ottawa, a person/party may request that the Ministry of Environment make an order for the project to comply with Part II of the Environmental Assessment Act (referred to as Part II Order).  This request must be received by the Minister at the address noted below, prior to April 24, 2006. A copy of the request shall also be sent to the City of Ottawa at the above address. If there are no requests received by April 24, 2006, the project will proceed, provided that funding is available, to design and construction as presented in the Study.
