Injuries are the leading cause of death for Canadians between the ages of 1 and 44 and the fourth leading cause of death for Canadians of all ages. The Ottawa Paramedic Service is committed to providing residents of Ottawa with the knowledge and skill to prevent injuries and handle emergency situations.
- First Aid, CPR and AED - The purpose of First Aid is to provide emergency and supportive care to a person in the event of an emergency. CPR training teaches you how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and how to manage choking emergencies. The automatic external defibrillation components teach you how to safely deliver a life-saving shock to a patient.
