To encourage meaningful and innovative uses of the City’s opendata collection, the City ran an App contest in 2010. By all accounts the contest was a tremendous and included 99 application submissions and over 100 idea submissions. The City thanks all participants and encourages residents and visitors to continue to explore the applications and ideas at the Apps4Ottawa website.
The winners of the contest, selected by a seven member panel of judges across five categories, were announced on February 15, 2011 at Ottawa City Hall.
