McKellar Park / Highland Park / Westboro Area Traffic Management Plan
The purpose of an area traffic management study is to minimize the negative impacts of traffic on neighbourhood streets. For example, speed humps and road narrowings may be used to address speeding and excessive cut-through traffic. The study limits extend from Carling Avenue to Byron Avenue, and from Sherbourne Road to just west of Kirkwood Avenue.
Phase I of the study (issues identification) has been completed, and Phase II (developing and analyzing alternative solutions) is underway. The final Public Open House for this study is tentatively scheduled for the spring of 2011. At this event you will be presented with:
- a summary of the issues documented as part of Phase I of the study
- a summary of the traffic characteristics of the neighbourhood
- the recommended Area Traffic Management Plan
