Children's Integration Support Services

The Children's Integration Support Services (CISS) program provides a range of support services to regular licensed child care programs in order to assist in the inclusion of handicapped children in these programs. Support can include the service of an Integration Consultant to assess the needs of a child and develop an individual program plan or to work with teachers implementing the plan. In some cases special equipment or toys or the service of a program assistant can be provided. Referrals can be made to CISS by families, child care programs or other professionals.
