Count Me In!

100 energy saving ideas

The Count Me In! Community Challenge is now underway. It’s taking place between now and August 14, the anniversary of the North American blackout in 2003.

Take the pledge for meaningful action to conserve energy in your everyday life. Count yourself in via the online pledge and choose how to conserve from a list of 100 energy saving ideas. Collectively, these steps save energy and money, reduce greenhouse emissions and contribute to a cleaner, healthier environment. Everyone is encouraged to share ideas, events and activities.

The Count Me In! Community Challenge is comprised of two challenges:

• The highest percentage drop in electricity consumption on August 14, and
• The highest per capita participation in the Count Me In! pledge drive between now and August 14.

Results will be announced at the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) Annual Conference in Ottawa in August.
