Smoking Cessation: The Stages of Change Approach

Are you looking for a program for employees in your workplace who currently smoke?

Does your workplace support those who have already quit but feel tempted to smoke again?

Smoking Cessation: The Stages of Change Approach is a workshop to help you support employees who would like to quit smoking, and those who are at risk of relapse.

  • Adults are at different stages of readiness to change their smoking behaviour.
  • People who smoke need to be treated with respect and understanding.
  • The approach uses no pressure, no scare tactics, no moralizing.
  • Takes ONLY 45 MINUTES during the workday.

The workshop includes information on:

  • how to change smoking behaviour;
  • what pharmacological aids are available;
  • where to access community resources;
  • how to find out one's personal stage and receive individual counselling.

Provide your employees with the opportunity to think about their smoking behaviour. Find out how your workplace can support those who would like to quit smoking or those who want to stay quit.
