Yellow Bags – Small Business

yellow bag

On June 19, 2006 a new pilot program began that offers a garbage pickup option to qualified small businesses and non-residential establishments, who generate residential levels of waste. It's called the Yellow Bag Program.

The Yellow Bag Program also offers those same non-residential establishments/ small businesses an opportunity to:

  • Recycle more
  • Find a viable, affordable option for the collection of relatively small quantities of weekly waste
  • Help the community effort to save valuable landfill space

How to register

To qualify, you must register with the Yellow Bag Program by completing a registration form. Hard copy forms are available by visiting any City of Ottawa Client Service Centre, or calling 3-1-1 (TTY: 613-580-2401) and a registration form can be mailed to you.

Please note, eligibility for all participants will be verified by the City of Ottawa.
