Manotick

Manotick, Ottawa’s historic waterfront village, offers a change of pace from the urban areas. Located on the Rideau River, Manotick has a warm, old-fashioned character that offers a great day out for all visitors and residents.

Watson’s Mill

There is a lot to take in when you are strolling around Manotick—boutiques, restaurants, cafes, pubs and galleries of art from local artists. You can also visit Watson’s Mill, one of the last operating gristmills in Ontario. You can see the process by which grain is ground into flour and hear all about the tragic ghost who is said to haunt the mill to this day.

There is also lots of fishing, boating and golf, not to mention the parks and walks along the waterfront. Manotick is the perfect place in which to enjoy a bit of rural scenery and hospitality.
